 Toplist Crash Course
Article The first thing to know about toplists is that they aren't as golden as they used to be, it takes alot more work these days than simply submitting a site and sending a few hits to get the traffic snowball rolling. It takes a steady flow of traffic on your end along with a good filtering system to see any true benefit$.

The basic concept behind a toplist is to either trade 1 hit for 2 or to trade an unproductive surfer for a new, hopefully more productive, surfer. I've tried alot of ways to get this to work but it's a little tougher these days than you would think. Toplists have a tendancy to attract alot of cheaters and it usually takes awhile to see your hits returned unless you're sending large volumes of traffic daily.

Okay enough with the intro to the reality of toplists bullshit, here's how to do it.

1. Choose a Niche

Pick one and stick with it. Once you have good traffic flowing through all your sites in this niche then you can branch out to others.

2. Build a TGP

You don't have to do this but it's the easiest and fastest way to get traffic pumped into your toplist account. Building one is easy, just make a very simple layout with links to galleries in all categories of your chosen niche. No need to review hundreds of galleries everyday either, use a free rotating gallery pool to feed your surfers with thousands of clean galleries. Then you just need a traffic trading script. You don't need to build an enormous TGP either, a good 2-3k/day will do.

3. Choose 10 Toplists

Hunt down around 5 medium sized toplists you like. Skip the large toplists which require thousands of daily hits to land the first page. Go through the sites listed just to know who you're competing with and read all the rules. Now hunt down 5 small toplists, ones where it only takes a hundred or so hits to reach the top 5 spots.

4. Make Some Sites

While your building up your trades make, or modify, at least 10 sites to submit that follow the rules of all 10 toplists. Be creative with your Silvercash links, use alot of big bold links and text that really turns your surfers on. Don't use banners, they won't pull as well with this traffic. Be sure to leave spots open for toplist recips.

5. Submit

Submit each of your 10 sites to the 5 bigger toplists, take the recip links they give you and use them to sign up with the 5 smaller toplists. Save the recip links from these smaller toplists for your own sites, TGP and hub.

6. Make a Hub

Make a hub to hold links to all your 10 sites along with links to toplists and to Silvercash. Design this like a niche directory. Mix together all these links and be sure to link to an FPA before your own sites. Also it helps to open all links to toplists in a new window so you don't lose as many surfers. Also to improve your click throughs make some good clear thumbs that link to an FPA and then to your own sites.

7. Create a Matrix

Create links to your hub from every site you have within the same niche, you need surfers to click around your hub to create hits to your toplist accounts. If you already make AVS sites this is a great source of traffic, link to your hub from within the members areas. Another great source are normal free sites, make some that link to your hub and submit them to all the big link lists.

8. Use your TGP

Now add the smaller toplist recip links into your trading script as normal trades so that you can control the daily hits sent. If your niche TGP is up to around 2k/day you can easily force 10 hits an hour to each of your 5 toplists. Also force a few hits an hour to your hub, surfers will assume it's a TGP and start clicking away which will produce more hits to your toplists from the same surfers.

That's it, you're done :) Let the traffic grow and you're onto the next niche.

How does this work?

Easy. You use your TGP to send very consistent volumes of traffic to each of your smaller toplist accounts which will result in your links to be moved to the top of the list. When surfers of this toplist click on your links they'll be sent to your larger toplist accounts which will result in FAR more hits than you could have originally sent. This will give you a much better chance of getting higher spots on the bigger toplists. Now the surfers of these bigger toplists will click your links and be sent to your sites which will either send them to a Silvercash site or to your hub which will either send them to another one of your sites, another Silvercash site directly or to another toplist to be traded for another surfer to do the same.
